Obituary for Bill Edward Clark

Bill Clark (82) went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Bill was bornin South Carolina on November 14, 1939 to Janelle and Stuart Clark. The family relocated to Barstow, California in 1961.

Bill worked for Cal Nev Pipeline and Miller High Life before retiring and working on his rental properties. Bill loved his dune buggies, horses and tractors. Fishing and fish fries were always a high point. He loved sharing his lake with children and seeing them catch their first fish!. It wasn't unusual to see Bill wearing his always pressed coveralls. He enjoyed anything that required a tractor, or going for a late night in his dune buggy or razor. Bill was always up for a challenge. Bill was a hard working man that would do anything for anyone.

Bill was married to Vivian Rhodes until she passed away in 1989. Afterwards he met and married Karen Layman and together managed their rentals, bred and raised miniature horses. They also owned and operated the High Noon Saloon. Bill loved playing pool and spending time with family and friends.

Bill loved his family and is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Layman, stepchildren, David (Donna), Denise Grandchildren, Austin, Jack,, Sophia, Mia,. Sisters, Brenda (Bill) Combs, Debbie (George) Wildrick, Brothers, Bobby (Kathy), Richard Clark. Many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his in-laws James and Mayme Cliver.

The celebration of life service for Bill will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 27th, at the First Baptist Church, 1320 Barstow Rd. with Pastor Eddie Pate Officiating. A reception to follow at the church after the service.
