Johnese Tyler Jr. was born in Hollandale, Mississippi on June 26, 1977, to the union of Johnese Tyler Sr. and the late Shirley Ann Tyler. In 1980 the Tyler family moved to Barstow, California. Johnese Jr. accepted Christ at an early age. By the time he was 11 years old the Tyler family joined Lucerne Valley Church of God in Christ.
Johnese Jr. began singing in the kids choir alongside his siblings and would soon learn to play the keyboard. Johnese was well known for his musical talent and would volunteer his time to play for different churches.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Tyler. JJ leaves to cherish his memories: Johnese Tyler Sr. (Father), daughter, Xavia Thomas, of Gonzalez, Louisiana, daughter, Cherish Bohaty of Barstow, CA., One sister, Sharon Tyler-Green (Michael) of Austin, Texas, four brothers, Marquis Tyler (Maryann) of Barstow, CA, Lee Andrew Tyler of Lucerne Valley, CA, Derrick Tyler of Barstow, CA, and Joseph Brady of Barstow, CA, Four uncles, Lee Burns (Cindy) of Barstow, CA, Cedric Burns Sr. of San Bernardino, CA, Donald Burns (Sadie) of Chicago, IL, Charles Burnns (Lula) of Barstow, CA, four sisters, Phalena Tyler, Helen Howard, and Millie lewis all of Vicksburg, MS, Charlene Lewis, and Hazel Moore of Chicago, IL and a host of cousins, nieces and nephew
Visitation will be at The Highlands Funeral 505 E. Williams St from 6-8 pm on Friday April 7, The Funeral Service will be held at the New Life Fellowship, 134 W. Main St at 11:00 am April 8
