Obituary for Mary G. Mack

Mary Grace Mack
July 3, 1928-February 8, 2022


Mary Grace Mack was born to Jack and Grace Kastner, in Tucson Arizona. She was the youngest of 6 children. Mary attended and graduated from Tucson High School.

At age 11 she met Kenny Mack, the love of her life, and would eventually marry him in 1947. They were married for 58 years, before the death of Kenny in 2005.

In 1957 Kenny and Mary moved from Ajo, Arizona to Barstow California where e took up the position of music teacher for Barstow High. Mary was a homemaker , wife and mother. She assisted Kenny in the many activities of the Riffian Band.

In 1964 Mary became a volunteer for the Barstow Hospital Auxiliary, and remained an active member until her passing. In 1964 she began to chair the local blood drive and remained the chair until 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny, grandson Kyle and Brother Roy, and sisters Barbra, Betty, and Nancy. She is survived by her daughters, Judy, and Kathy, adopted sons, Doug Kruse and John Rader, nephews, Richard, Jesse and Randy, nieces, Lynda, Sharon and Jan, and many great nephews and nieces.

She truly believed that everyone in the community ought to volunteer somewhere to make that community better.

Services for Mrs. Mack will be 1 pm. Wednesday March 2, 2022 at First Baptist Church 1320 Barstow RD, Barstow CA. with Pastor Jerry Green officiating.

The family has suggests that the best tribute to Mary's life would be to donate blood.
