Obituary for Melinda Kay Brown
Celebrating the Life of Melinda Brown of Helendale, California
Melinda was born April 25, 1960 in Lansing Michigan to Shirley Knickerbocker Hall and Robert Hall and was raised by her mother Shirley Hall Still and stepfather Horace “Tex” Still.
Melinda was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a kind soul, God worshipping, Generous to a fault, and had a laugh that was infectious. She was a great friend that everyone would love to have and never complained of her circumstances. Melinda was part of the community for over 35 years and an active member of Helendale Community Church and was so grateful for the friendships of so many in the church and her community. A special thanks to Vickie and Marc Duncan, Valeria Brown, Carol and Alan Todd, and David Tamulevich, and a host of others that have been a vital part of her daily life and other cherished friends. Melinda left this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 to her heavenly home.
Melinda is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce Brown, daughter Rebecka Brown, and half-brother Carey Hall.
She is survived by her son Billy “Bill” Brown of Texas and claimed daughter by choice Sharon Lamb of Oregon.
Sisters and Brother in Laws as follows: Tammy and Dale Janzen, Sandra and David Martin, and Gail and Eddie Tincher all of Texas. Half-Brother Craig Hall of Michigan. Bruce’s Brothers and sister in-laws Beverly and Bill Brown of Alabama, Donn & Nancy Cristler of Arizona, Jim and Joy Christler, Robert and Joyce Christler, Chuck Lenhart, Russell Thacker, and Mark Thacker all of California. Many nieces and nephews and a huge number of friends.
Funeral arrangements are with the Highlands Funeral Home. A Memorial Service for Melinda is pending and will be held at teh Helendale Community Church, 15488 Riverview Rd., in Helendale CA.
